weddings I've shot
While I love a beautiful sunset photo, photography, for me, has always been about people and relationships. I love taking pictures of couples, families, and pregnant bellies. It is an honor to be the one who gets to capture you and your loved ones, in a split second in time, one that you will never get back. It's my hope that when you look back on your images, whether they hang perfectly on your walls or live in a beautiful album that you share with guests in your home, you remember that time in life, when love was new, or your kiddo still had baby teeth, and you can feel the joy that you felt in those precious moments.
When I was a little girl, a clock hung on the wall of my grandma's house. It was a small, gold clock in the upper right hand corner of a giant photo. In the photo, you could see a beautiful, golden beach at sunset with the tiny silhouette of a girl playing in the sand. For years this clock hung in my grandparents' house. The house where my family celebrated birthdays. The house where I spent sick days watching The Price is Right. One day I finally asked my grandma where it came from. "Your dad took that photo. That little girl is you." I couldn't believe it. That's when I knew I wanted to be a photographer. I wanted to create art that hung on walls for years, stopping time in a world where time flies.

My kids are the best! They're smart, brave, funny, and sweet. They're 12 years apart and I wouldn't have it any other way. They constantly make me proud and I can't believe I get to be their mom. Whether we are on a road trip, having a kitchen dance party or cheering one of them on from the sidelines, my time with them is my favorite.
My husband and I met online when I agreed to sign up for Match.com because they had a sale. I spent years of my life thinking I would never have the same happily every after I had photographed for years, then I met him. I call him my favorite Black Friday purchase.
Whether it's Cory & Topanga, Edward & Bella, Noah & Allie, or my own grandparents, I am a total sucker for a good love story. There is something about sweet, genuine romance that makes my heart so happy.
I am, by nature, a snob for warm, glowy light, but every now and then, I really love a moody black and white photo. Something about them evokes an emotion that I can't put into words.
My faith is the cornerstone of who I am. I love my church. I pray a lot. I dance while I'm cooking dinner to worship music. I had a really negative church experience when I was a teen and I feel so thankful that God found me again.
